• How do I use SILVER MAMA® nipple cups

  SILVER MAMA® nipples cups are simple to use. Place the cups directly on your nipples, under your bra. The cups are super discreet and almost invisible under clothing. Keep them on as much as possible between breastfeeding sessions. Remove cups before breastfeeding.

  Our advice is to start using them also as a form of prevention, few days before the expected date of birth, simply by inserting them between the nipple and the bra.

• How do you clean SILVER MAMA® nursing cups

  Silver is a natural antimicrobial, antifungal, and antibacterial metal that also contains anti-inflammatory agents. As a result, a quick rinse with warm water between feeds is sufficient to clean the cups.

  SILVER MAMA® cups can tarnish over time due to the natural oxidisation process that occurs in silver, however it is still safe and effective to use. To remove the tarnish, make a paste using a mix of bicarbonate of soda (one teaspoon) with a few drops of water. Rub the paste over the cups, rinse and pat dry.

  Although not required, the cups can be cleaned using mild base soap (recommended handwash soap). Do not use any harsh detergents, bleach-based agents, sterilising tablets or hard scourers to clean the cups.

• What are my delivery options

• Can SILVER MAMA® nipple cups be washed in the dishwasher

  No, we don’t recommend silver nipple caps be washed in the dishwasher.

• Is it possible to use SILVER MAMA® nipple cups with milk absorbing cups

  If you notice that you are losing a lot of milk between feeds, you can insert milk-absorbing cups between the SILVER MAMA® nipple shield and your bra – but be careful not to put them in contact with the nipple, otherwise your skin won’t benefit from the benefits of silver.

• Can I return my order?

  Yes! Returns are accepted within 7 days of purchase, provided the packaging is unopened. Please email us to arrange your return.

• How does the recycling program work

  When you’ve finished breastfeeding (whether it’s been six months or six years), you can send your SILVER MAMA ® cups back to us. We’ll turn them into beautiful handmade silver earrings, a long lasting memory of your breastfeeding journey. Made of pure 925 silver, the cups will be melt and moulded into boobs-shaped earrings. • How long does delivery take

  We dispatch all orders the same day of receiving payment into our accounts. We dispatch Monday to Friday 8am-4h30pm.

  Estimated Courier delivery times:

  • Economy delivery to main city centers: 2-3 working days;
  • Economy delivery to remote areas: 3-5 working days;
  • Overnight delivery to main city centers: 1-2 working days;
  • Overnight delivery to remote area: 3-4 working days.

  Unforeseen circumstances, for example adverse weather, closed roads, strikes etc. could prolong the delivery time. This is rare but it does happen, therefore a ‘late’ delivery is not grounds for a refund or cancellation of the order. However, if your delivery has not been delivered after the estimated times shown above, please contact us with your order number so that we can follow up on the matter.

• What kind of silver is used

  Silver has been prized for its value as far back as 3000 B.C. This is not only for its aesthetic properties but also for its many other uses. In its pure form it is soft and not practical for some of its uses. It is therefore mixed with other metals to add strength and rigidity.

  We use 925 Sterling Silver in the manufacture of SILVER MAMA nipple cups. No Nickel is used in the alloy or in the manufacture process.

  Both products work by placing silver directly on the nipple. For a durable, long-lasting option, choose the 925 sterling silver nursing cups. If you prefer a more budget-friendly choice for shorter use, the 999 plated silver version is an effective alternative.
